Mapiflow is designed as a privacy-first, browser-based mind mapping tool. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and what choices you have.

1. Information stored on your device

Mapiflow stores your mind maps, nodes, links, notes, reviews, settings, and imported/exported data locally in your browser using technologies such as IndexedDB and localStorage. This information is intended to remain on your device unless you choose to export or share it. You can manage cookies and tracking preferences through your browser settings.

2. Account information

Mapiflow does not currently require users to create an account. We do not ask for usernames, passwords, or profile information to use the app.

3. Imported and exported files

When you import a JSON file, the file is processed in your browser. When you export a mind map, the file is generated from data stored locally in your browser.

4. Analytics

Mapiflow may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand general site usage, performance, and reliability. Analytics are used to improve the app and do not require users to create accounts.

5. Advertising and sponsorships

Mapiflow may display advertisements, sponsor cards, or self-promotional messages. Third-party advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own privacy policies. Sponsor interactions may be measured to understand impressions and clicks.

6. Cookies and local storage

Mapiflow may use browser storage to remember app settings, installed app state, sponsor interactions, and locally saved maps. You can clear this data using your browser settings.

7. Third-party links

Mapiflow may link to third-party websites, sponsors, or external resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites.

8. Children’s privacy

Mapiflow is a general learning and productivity tool. It is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Data deletion

Because maps are stored locally in your browser, you can delete your data by deleting maps inside the app or clearing site data for mapiflow.com in your browser settings.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
